Siliconiseerd grafiet is een composietmateriaal waarin siliciumcarbide is bevestigd aan het oppervlak van een grafietsubstraat. Het heeft de kenmerken van een hoge hardheid, hoge mechanische sterkte en slijtvastheid van siliciumcarbide, evenals de zelf-tot-fense eigenschappen en thermische schokweerstand van grafiet. Het is een ideale wrijvingsmaterialen en mechanische afdichtingsmaterialen, geschikt voor mechanische afdichting van verschillende waterpompen, oliepompen, chemische pompen en lagers van verschillende high-speed en hoogbelaste hoofdpompen.
